This parrot is the Amazon basin.
has a size of approx. 25 cm.
No sexual dimorphism. But this species is characterized by scaly area on the throat and chest area, its predominant color is green.
usually very easily bred in captivity, but it is better to separate breeding pairs that the males get really aggressive.
The breeding season starts from February to August (in captivity) the female puts 3 to 5 eggs are incubated for 24 days. The chicks leave the nest at 7 weeks approx.
Food is mostly a mixture of seeds, vegetables and a little fruit.
