have a length of 12 cm. Its origin is from Ecuador and Peru.
Its natural color is green but in captivity there are several mutations have
sexual dimorphism, the male have the rump blue, and a blue line behind the eye, also under the wings is blue. To play single pairs is better that the males become very aggressive.
The breeding season starts from January to July. The female lays 4 to 7 eggs every 2 days to incubate for 17 days. The chicks leave the nest at 5 weeks.
